9) Rules for EDI shipments:
对EDI装运的规定
a) The following documents are required with every shipment:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Value Statement
Copy of Bill of Lading (Original BOL if it’s not Telex Release)
Container Load Plan
First Sale Documents (if applicable)
Copies of GCC’s
b) ASN should be at the shipment level by division not at the PO or PO line level. Any change to “container #” and/or
“ship to location” and/or “division” makes a separate ASN.
c) On ASNs for air shipments, the container number and seal number are mandatory, but not always known. Please use
the Master Bill of Lading Number in this scenario
d) On ASNs for ocean shipments, the voyage number (optional) should be populated using the vessel or sailing number.
e) If a factory needs to modify an ASN after it has already been submitted, the factory must contact the Komar EDI team
at: FactoryEDI@komar-okla.com and provide any changes needed. The Komar EDI team will then determine if it is
necessary for the factory to resubmit the ASN.
f) Factory must enter full container ID number on ASN including any letters at the beginning of the ID sequence
Example: Use TCNU7269297 and NOT 7269297 as the container ID number
g) Container’s arrival date is input by the factory and should be the discharge date (not ex-factory date) plus transit
time to the Komar DC. This is an estimate given by the steam ship line of when the boat will dock at the final
destination/at port of discharge plus the time shown on the chart below.
ARRIVAL PORT | ARRIVAL WHSE LOCATION | DAYS TO ADD TO ETA PORT FOR DUE DATE |
LA | ML | 7 |
LA | 01/NEWDC | 5(REGULAR TRUCK) |
LA | 01/NEWDC | 3(HOT TRUCK) |
DAL | 01/NEWDC | 4 |
h) Factory is not allowed to ship incomplete prepacks. EDI system will not allow incomplete prepack transactions to
take place for any prepack assortments or range styles (mixed styles) prepack.
i) For each style#/color, all cartons must have consistent amount of units by size. All cartons must have same amount
of units for that single sku and the last carton of that sku that varies in units from the amounts that the majority of similar
cartons have, must now have “non-conforming carton" sticker on it as a non conforming carton.
(Meaning, as an example: all bulk cartons of size 4—should contain the same amount as the other size 4’s for
that style#/color and also all size 10’s of that style#/color should have the same amount per carton as the other
size 10’s. Any carton that varies in units from the amounts that the majority of similar cartons have, must now
have “non-conforming carton" sticker as a non conforming carton. So if every carton has 60 pieces of size 4,
then the last carton that has 20 pieces leftover of size 4 needs to have “non-conforming carton” sticker on the
carton.
Also for prepack orders, if you are putting 6 prepacks in a carton, then all cartons for that style/color/size ratio
must contain 6 prepacks where the last carton that has only 4 prepacks leftover will have a “non-conforming
carton” sticker on it. )
