Logistics 物流
Komar Logistics monitors all factory production that is scheduled to be shipped within the next 45 days and
approves all shipments in order to best satisfy our customers’ deliveries at the lowest cost. All information is
posted in our tracking system called Track and Trace. Any delays that may impact customer delivery are
reviewed by logistics with both production and sales. Any changes that the vendor makes on any booking
must be reviewed by logistics and revised by the forwarder for final approval.
Track and Trace overview:
The system is designed to provide Cargo Tracing services for both purchasing (PO Expediting) and shipping
(Shipment tracing) departments. PO Tracing (PO Expediting) starts when PO first initiated by Komar. Komar
and the factory can easily trace the Status (open, booked, on-¬hand etc.) for each PO. Komar and the
factory can exchange messages through T&T Communication Links function. All messages exchanged will be
recorded and exact date/time will also be marked. Once the cargo is ready to ship, the Shipment tracing
function can be triggered. User can trace the shipment either by PO (Style, Group, etc.) # or by HAWB/HBL
#.Air and ocean shipment information will be on the same display.
Setting up:
Once a factory is set up and PO’s are issued, Beth Giles bgiles@komar-okla.com
will have logins created from the factory contact information provided by sourcing. Joe Lee
Joe.Lee@komarsourcing.com will provide instructions as to how to log in and perform the necessary tasks
General procedure
Every Monday, the factory provides updates on all production scheduled to be shipped within the next 45
days by requesting delivery date changes using the EOB date field (estimated on board date) and the
remarks field. Once updates are made, the factory must send e-mail advice that T & T has been updated.
This e-mail should have a WSS report (Weekly Shipping schedule) attached listing all purchase orders.
Logistics will review and either approves or reject extension requests and revising the EOB date
accordingly.
Bookings should be presented to the Komar designated forwarder two weeks in advance of the anticipated
vessel date. The forwarder will prepare a Track and Trace booking for approval by logistics. No shipment
can be made without logistics approval
For direct shipments, it is the manufacturer’s responsibility to enter in Track and Trace the“booking
request date” and the forwarder date - the date goods are turned over to the customer’s forwarder
(this will close the purchase order).
