6. Traceability & Document Control
a. Manufacturing Date & Production Status
In order to prevent products mix-up & contamination, traceability is needed to implement.
1. Does factory verify the batch identification on raw material as traceability in production?
2. Does every stage of production have factory QC check-point with records? The inspection report can be retrieved by production status and traced back the batch of raw material used.
3. Does factory add traceability code (e.g. PO#) on their stock records and delivery notes for traceability purpose?
4. Are all paints & chemicals used in every part of product recorded?
5. Does factory maintain record to identify the actual machine processing for snap & rivet attachment on which batch of goods?
6. Does all sub-contracting material have IQC inspection & maintain the inspection report# for traceability?
7. Does factory send their QC to sub-contactor to conduct on-site checking?
8. Are all finished cartons marked with inspection status (e.g. Pending, Accepted or Failed)?
9. Does factory have recall system of non-complied carton? Factory can trace back which batch of paints & raw material & blinding process done by when & which production line?
10. Do all children sleepwear (FR) shipments have traceability system to trace back which batch of goods produced from which batches of raw material & production period?
b. Document Control for Product Safety
1. Does factory have procedure to retain all test & inspection records effectively at least 3 years?
2. Does factory store the document in safety environment with easy to access?
3. Does factory have procedure to review the test reports to ensure all test reports updated and in validation period?
